My Philosophy
I believe that music is magic. Melodies spring forth on running legs to create something from nothing in an instant. Voices alchemize some of the most miserable things we feel into beauty. The right song at the right time changes someone’s life or saves it. Music helps us remember when we’re old and learn when we’re babies. All our lives we experience music in community.
I also believe that sometimes, if we’re lucky as artists and willing, we tap into the divine. Channels for the truths that are drifting through the ether —— tapping us on the shoulders and asking us to speak them. And should we choose to accept, I think we can bring those truths forward.
I’m just somebody who thinks someone should know.
What I Ask of You
Come as you are. We’re here for the weird, the wild, the wonderful, and everything that doesn’t fit neatly in between. We celebrate the full spectrum of being human—the messy, beautiful, sensitive, angry, joyful, contradictory parts that make us who we are. We reclaim what we were taught to hide, make space for what makes us different, and create without asking permission. There’s room for all of you here.
